Methodist online application suite Supported configurations
Note: Currently there are known compatibility issues with Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7 running some of our online applications.
While many of our online applications work on Windows, Macintosh and Linux Operating Systems we can only fully support Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP with Internet Explorer 6.x. The recommended configuration below is fully supported, meaning that we will provide whatever assistance you need to get our applications up and running from your home or office. If you have the below configuration and you are having problems connecting please call 354-2280 for assistance. You can request access to our online applications by filling out the registration form at the bottom left on our Physician Portal webpage.
Recommended Configuration - Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP with Internet Explorer 6.x
- 1 GHz CPU and a minimum of 1 GB of RAM (or more)
- Broadband Internet access (cable modem, DSL or equivalent)
Cerner applications
Our Cerner suite of applications is our most compatible online application and can be run from most standard Operating Systems and browser combinations. It is the most compatible because it is delivered via Citrix, a technology that allows users access to enterprise information and applications easily, instantly, and securely from any location, at any time, using any device, over any network connection. While we can still only officially support our recommended configuration a complete list of supported configurations can be found at the Citrix website. The Windows Citrix client can be installed from our Physician Portal by clicking the Cerner Application link on the left side of the page. Registered Physicians can have access to most Cerner applications including Appbar, Power Chart, Power Chart Office and PACS images.
Note: Mac users – There have been reported problems using the Safari browser. We recommend trying the Firefox browser that can be downloaded from Mozilla. browser Currently there are known compatibility issues with Windows Vista and
RecordLink RecordLink is compatible with most OS and browser combinations as well. A Microsoft client is needed which comes standard with Windows XP. Mac users can download a client from the Microsoft website. Installation instructions for RecordLink can be found on our Physician Portal or by following this link.
Note: There are reported problems running RecordLink on Microsoft Vista.
Ireach PACS Viewer Ireach runs on all versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox2. There is a small client download to support viewing of PACS images. Instructions on configuring your workstation can be found on our Physician Portal or by following this link. .
Easyweb for Xcelera Easyweb requires IE6 or earlier and will not run on Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox2. Easyweb also requires an older Java client which can be downloaded from the Easyweb link on our Physician Portal. The vendor has stopped all development on this product to it will not be upgraded to support IE7 or updated Java versions. Other solutions are being investigated.
