Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio energy to make pictures of organs and other structures inside the body allowing doctors to diagnose and identify possible medical conditions. An MRI can show problems that cannot be seen with an X-ray or other imaging techniques. In some cases, contrast material may be used during the MRI scan to show certain structures more clearly.

An MRI test is painless and comfortable. You will lie on a padded table while the test is taking place. The accuracy and speed of our MRI scanners means that you will be done quickly and your doctor will have to run few, if any, follow-up scans.

Methodist Jennie Edmundson MRI is Accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR)

The MRI Accreditation Program evaluates staff qualifications, quality control, MR safety policies and image quality.
