Tobacco Free Environment
Tobacco use is not consistent with Methodist Fremont Health’s mission to protect and improve the health of patients, residents, visitors and staff. Smoking and secondhand smoke are known to cause serious lung diseases, heart disease and cancer.
Therefore, Methodist Fremont Health properties are designated as tobacco-free environments. The use of tobacco (including cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco), e-cigarettes, and vapor pens are not permitted on any Methodist Fremont Health-owned property, which includes but is not limited to, buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and Methodist Fremont Health-owned vehicles.
If you are a tobacco user, talk to your physician about tobacco alternatives while you are in the hospital. Methodist Fremont Health also provides smoking cessation classes. Please call (402) 727-3439 for more information.
