Women's Preventive Care
Regular evaluations and screenings are the best way to prevent or catch health problems before they become serious. At Methodist Fremont Health, we provide a wide range of preventive women’s health services to help keep you well throughout your life.
All women need a general health assessment each year. During your annual exam, we will screen for potential health problems. Screenings may include a pelvic exam, pap smear, breast exam, laboratory tests, as well as contraceptive or menopause management counseling.
To schedule your visit, call (402) 721-3133 or find a women’s health specialist anytime online.
Every year, women ages 45 to 54 should get a mammography screening, which have proven to be the most effective tool for detecting breast cancer in its earliest and most treatable stage. (You should talk to your provider, as recommendations may vary depending on your medical and family history.) In Methodist Fremont Health’s dedicated Women’s Imaging Center, we offer 3D digital mammography with Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) for superior accuracy. We’ve also received the highest rating from the Mammography Quality Standards Act review board for exceptional patient care. To schedule your mammogram, call (402) 727-3882.
