Spine Scans
CT scans of the spine can provide more detailed information about the vertebrae (bones of the spine) and other spinal structures and tissues than standard X-rays. This provides physicians with more detailed information related to injuries and/or diseases of the spine.
Types of CT spinal scans

- Cervical (upper spine)
- Thoracic (mid spine)
- Lumbar (lower spine)
CT scans used as a diagnostic tool
Conditions that may be diagnosed with a CT scan include:
- Stenosis (narrowing of nerve pathways)
- Back pain
- Leg numbness
- Fracture
- Radiculopathy (pain, numbness, tingling or weakening along a nerve)
