Three Generations Born at Methodist
Susan Tafini, born during the blizzard of 1949, entered the world at Methodist Hospital on 36th and Cuming. Tafini's daughter, born at Methodist on 84th Street, delivered her own baby at the new Methodist Women's Hospital at 192 and Dodge.
The Tafini family was impressed with the family-friendly amenities at the Methodist Women's Hospital. The new hospital offers 24-hour room service for patients and guests, family waiting areas and the highest level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in West Omaha.

Humanitarian Award
The Gene and Jean Herbek Humanitarian Award was established by the College of American Pathology (CAP) Foundation to recognize the selfless dedication the Herbek's have shown through the See, Test & Treat program.
Dr. Herbek established the See, Test & Treat™ program to provide free breast and cervical cancer screening for women in need. Beginning in 2012 the award will be presented to a CAP member to help advance the treatment of women in underserved areas.
