Express Yourself Through the Arts: Spring Session Begins March 9
The spring session of Express Yourself Through the Arts kicks off on Saturday, March 9.
The opening program at the Joslyn Art Museum is titled Casein Painting. Participants will use a unique technique of drawing with chalk pastels onto milk-soaked fabric to create painterly scenes in the style of the Impressionists.
The class will meet from 10 a.m. - noon at Joslyn Art Museum, 2200 Dodge Street.
Express Yourself Through the Arts is a collaboration between Methodist Volunteers In Partnership, Joslyn Art Museum and local artists who have developed a series of free workshops that allows patients and family members who have been touched by serious illness to express themselves through the arts.
Workshops are offered at no cost unless otherwise noted. Preregistration is required for all classes and opens two weeks before the scheduled class.
Register by calling (402) 354-4591. Please call by the Thursday prior to the class to cancel if you cannot attend.
Note: You may participate in a total of 16 EYTA programs over the course of a three-year period. If you do not call to cancel, then attendance for that class will be counted toward your 16 programs. After attending 16 programs, you will become an “EYTA alumnus” and may be added, upon request, to a waiting list to take part in a workshop if it is not filled by the deadline date.
