Join Methodist Health System at Walk to Break the Silence: Sept. 7
Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center and Midwest GYN Oncology are proud to be participating in the seventh annual Walk to Break the Silence, the largest fundraiser and awareness event for the Nebraska Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
We hope you’ll join us for this exciting, family-oriented event at Lake Zorinsky on Saturday, September 7.
There is something for everyone with 1-mile and 4-mile walks and a 5K run. Event registration begins at 7 a.m., followed by opening remarks at 8 a.m. Run begins at 8:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 8:40 a.m.
Registration is $15-$30 per participant.
According to the American Cancer Society, ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers. If diagnosed early, the five-year survival rate is over 90 percent. Of the 21,880 women diagnosed last year, statistically, only 46 percent will survive beyond five years.
Please consider supporting both Methodist and the Nebraska Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in this worthwhile community event.
