National Fall Prevention Awarenss Week
National Fall Prevention Awareness week starts September 22 and this year’s theme is “Preventing Falls—One Step at a Time.” We invite you to see what the Methodist physical therapy program is doing to help prevent falls in the hospital, at home, and in the community.
During this week, physical therapy will be hosting an open house with four stations that highlight the fall prevention and balance programs being offered by inpatient and outpatient physical therapists.
The stations will include a trial of the balance master, Wii balance program, and various other balance equipment, as well as information on the various therapy programs being offered.
There will also be two $25 gift cards in a drawing for participants that attend. The open houses will be on Tuesday, September 24 from 12-2 p.m. and Thursday, September 26 from 7:30-9:30 am in the Physical Therapy Department on the 2nd Floor in the North tower. We hope you stop by and join us!September 18, 2013
