HealthWest Pediatrics - Available When You Need Us

Your child wakes up at 6 a.m. with ear pain, what are you going to do? You don’t have an appointment and your pediatrician’s office is closed.

24 hour staffed phone line

At HealthWest Pediatrics care is available 24 hours/7 days a week through our staffed phone line.

“We do have phone coverage 24 hours/7 days a week with a nurse taking the initial phone call,” said HealthWest Pediatrician Rosann Nichols, MD, FAAP. “The nurse will handle all basic health concerns. If the situation is serious one of the on-call pediatricians will be contacted.”

Appointments same day and Saturday morning for sick visits

When your child is sick we understand you need convenient care from physicians who know your child.  We offer several ways to provide care for your child when he is ill:

• Same-day sick visits are available with all 3 pediatricians.
• Saturday morning appointments are also available for physicals and sick visits.
• Online appointment scheduling is available through Methodist Health System’s online appointment request option.
• EarlyCare allows you to reserve an appointment first thing in the morning with a convenient overnight online option. From 6 pm to 6 am, you may access the EarlyCare appointments for HealthWest and request one of our reserved appointments for the following morning. 

HealthWest Pediatrics sees patients from birth to age 18, with office hours  from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The clinic features on-site lab and x-ray capabilities as well as the administration of certain medications.
