The Methodist Center for Diabetes and Nutritional Health has been awarded the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Certificate for its quality diabetes self-management education program.The multi-site program includes Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, with some of the program’s services available at Methodist Women’s Hospital. It was originally recognized by the ADA in 1995 and has earned re-certification several times.
The National Standards for Diabetes Patient Education Programs are designed to promote quality education nationwide for every person with diabetes. Approval by this national association ensures that the program meets the national standards for excellence in diabetes education.
Jennie Edmundson Diabetes Management Center and the Methodist Center of Diabetes and Nutritional Health
The Jennie Edmundson Diabetes Management Center and Methodist Center for Diabetes and Nutritional Health help patients and their families manage type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes.
Our team includes certified diabetes educators, nurses, dietitians and a nurse practitioner. Working together with your physician, we will develop an individualized treatment plan to help you manage your diabetes.
