Diabetes

The Methodist Center for Diabetes and Nutritional Health has been awarded the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Certificate for its quality diabetes self-management education program.

The multi-site program includes Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, with some of the program’s services available at Methodist Women’s Hospital. It was originally recognized by the ADA in 1995 and has earned re-certification several times.

The National Standards for Diabetes Patient Education Programs are designed to promote quality education nationwide for every person with diabetes. Approval by this national association ensures that the program meets the national standards for excellence in diabetes education.
