Quality Care for Seniors
Methodist Hospital has been designated a NICHE site by the John A. Hartford Foundation Institute for Geriatric Nursing.
NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) is the premier designation indicating a hospital's commitment to excellence in the care of patients 65-years-and-older.
Methodist Hospital has also achieved Senior Friendly status for its NICHE program. The Senior Friendly status is given to NICHE hospitals that have implemented systemic aging-sensitive policies and included the input of patient, families and other community providers in planning and implementing NICHE initiatives.
National Nurse Residency Program
Methodist Hospital Selected as Pilot Site for National Nurse Residency Program. Methodist Hospital has been selected as one of six hospitals nationally to be a pilot site for a multigenerational nurse residency program in geropalliative care called AgeWISE. Learn More.
