Magnet Nursing - Excellence for You
In 2004, Methodist Hospital joined only 5% of the nation's hospitals to earn the Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Magnet status is considered the "gold standard" of nursing.
Sue Korth, vice president and chief operating officer at Methodist Women's Hospital said, "Magnet designation recognizes sustained excellence in nursing and is achieved only by nursing divisions that provide quality care on a consistent basis. We are proud of the effort our nurses put forth daily to promote a culture of empowerment, pride, respect, teamwork and integrity.”Read more about Magnet Nursing at Methodist Women's Hospital.

Da Vinci Robotic Surgery
Today, complex conditions can be treated with minimally invasive surgery using a da Vinci robotic surgical system.
This system provides your surgeon with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity and control. It requires only a few small incisions so you can get back to life faster without the usual recovery time needed following traditional open surgery.
Benefits to having surgery with a da Vinci system include:
- faster recovery and shorter hospital stays
- less blood loss
- minimal pain and complications
- lower risk of infection
- smaller incisions and less scaring
