Methodist Hospital Pathology Center Breaks Ground on New Facility The laboratory facilities at Methodist Hospital, which have been accredited "with distinction" by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), offer full service medical testing for prevention and/or diagnosis of health-related problems and for disease management.

Services include:

• Specimen collection
• Processing
• Analysis
• Interpretation
• Reporting of testing results

Specimen Collection

Specimen collection is available at the following two locations:

Methodist Hospital Pathology Center
Second Floor, South Tower
8303 Dodge St., Omaha
Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Specimen collection is also available outside of the above hours; however, significant waiting time may be necessary.

Test Direct™

The number of consumers who wish to become better informed about their health is on the rise and the demand for direct access tests, those the consumer can order independent of his or her physician, has increased.

Methodist Hospital Pathology Center offers Test Direct™, screening tests for certain conditions, as well as full health screening tests for men and women. Payment is due at the time of the tests. Your results will be sent to you directly from the Pathology Center. Tests are available for the following health concerns:

• Anemia: CBC, Iron & TIBC
• Cancer: PSA, Fecal Occult Blood Test
• Diabetes: Glucose, Hemoglobin A1c
• Heart Disease Risk: Lipid panel
• Infectious Disease: Acute hepatitis panel, mononucleosis
• Pregnancy: Beta HCG, HCG Urine
• Thyroid Disease: Thyroid panel, TSH

These informational tests are also available:

• Blood Type & Rh
• Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependence
• Health Screen: Comprehensive metabolic panel and lipid profile
• Men's Health Screen: Comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid profile, thyroid panel, CBC, PSA
• Women's Health Screen: Comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid profile, thyroid panel, CBC, Iron and TIBC
