The Radiology Department at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital provides a full range of diagnostic imaging services to meet the needs of patients and physicians in southwest Iowa and Council Bluffs/Omaha metropolitan area.

In addition to regular X-rays, services available include:

• high field MRI 1.5 T
• open MRI
• PET Scan
• 16-slice computed tomography (CT)
• nuclear medicine
• ultrasound
• digital mammography
• gamma breast imaging

Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital is the only hospital in southwest Iowa that has a high field and a low field MRI. The low field MRI enables us to accommodate large and claustrophobic patients.

We also offer gamma breast imaging helping to identify cancer in its earliest stage especially in patients with breast tissue that make it difficult for physicians to diagnose. Other services include a sterotactic breast biopsy system which allows for multiple tissue samples from a single needle insertion and imaging of vascular (veins and arteries) systems.
