Sentinal Lymph Node Mapping and Biopsy

Our surgeons are skilled in sentinal lymph node mapping for use in the surgical treatment of melanomas and breast cancer. The first lymph node to receive cancer cells after they have spread from the original tumor is called the sentinal node. Lymph node mapping can be performed at the time of a lumpectomy or mastectomy.
