The Methodist Hospital Wound Clinic providers work with your physician to provide thorough wound assessment and identification of all underlying disease factors.

Services include:

• Wound assessment
• Specialized wound treatment
• Patient and family education
• Care management by a certified wound care nurse

Specialized Nursing

The certified wound/ostomy/continence nurses also provide pre- and post-operative education and counseling for patients who must live with a colostomy, ileostomy or a urostomy. Services include stoma site selection and care, assistance with dietary, sexual and lifestyle changes and post-discharge care and counseling.
