Methodist Breast Care Center

Women want answers about their breast health issues quickly and conveniently. That’s the goal for the Methodist Estabrook Caner Center Breast Health Center.

Women who visit the Breast Health Center will receive a clinical breast exam by a board certified surgeon. Diagnostic tests and consultations are provided with education regarding breast disease, procedures and, if needed, surgery.

The First Accredited Breast Care Center in Nebraska

The Breast Care Center at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center is the most comprehensive in the region, combining sophisticated diagnostic procedures with a full range of treatment options, all housed in one convenient location.

Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center (MECC) Breast Care Center has been granted a three-year, full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. MECC is the first accredited breast care center in Nebraska.

Accreditation by the NAPBC is only granted to breast centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.

 

Methodist Breast Care Center Receives 5-Star  Award

Methodist Breast Care Center also received a 2011 5-Star Award for overall quality of care for outpatient breast health from Professional Research Consultants.

 

A Personalized Approach

The Breast Care Center offers many unique benefits, including a personalized approach to a woman's individual needs and weekly breast tumor conferences that bring together the skills and experience of specialists, including surgical oncologists, general and reconstructive surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses and other specialists. All work in tandem to discuss diagnoses and confirm the best possible course of treatment for every patient.

Our dedicated and compassionate nurses coordinate breast health care for all Breast Care Center patients, helping them navigate through the appointments and choices they may face on the way to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Methodist Breast Care Center also has lymphedema therapy services.

Support Services

A cancer diagnosis can be devastating. Patients who have access to cancer support services can  more successfully live with and beyond cancer.

Wings of Hope assists cancer survivors and their families with support groups and cancer education programs.

Methodist Health System provides cancer support groups and Harper's Hope survivor services to cancer survivors regardless of where they go for cancer treatment, no matter if they are newly diagnosed or a longtime survivor.
