Walk to End Alzheimer's is Sept. 30

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s™ is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Methodist Health System is the presenting sponsor for the 2012 Alzheimer’s Association Midlands Chapter walk event. The goal for this year’s event is $100,000.The Walk to End Alzheimer's is slated for Sunday, Sept. 30 at Chalco Hills Recreation Area in Omaha.

Walk events are being held nationally to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's disease. More young people are being diagnosed daily and the need for a cure is urgent.

Dr. Duane Gross of the Alzheimer's Association Midlands Chapter and Stephen Zubrod, vice president of Marketing at Methodist Health System and Alzheimer's Association board member, speak about Alzheimer's disease and the fundraising event.
