Methodist Is One of the First DAISY Facilities in the Nation to Present the Champion Award
Sharyl Peterson, an administrative secretary at Methodist Hospital, as the first MHS "DAISY Champion."
Sharyl takes minutes for the group’s meetings and has been instrumental in planning and preparing DAISY ceremonies for nurses during the past two years. Sharyl also submits all information about Methodist and Women’s Hospital award winners to the DAISY Foundation and our Marketing Department.
Methodist is one of the first DAISY facilities to present the Champion Award to someone who helps coordinate the monthly ceremonies for nurses. Sharyl earned the DAISY Champion Award for her enthusiastic support of excellence in nursing and her expert coordination of the DAISY recognition program at Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women's Hospital. Congratulations, Sharyl for being named Methodist’s DAISY Champion.

The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that rewards and celebrates extraordinary skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day. Nurses can be nominated by anyone, including patients, family members, physicians, supervisors or their peers.
