A Rough and Painful Thursday Made Easier
An open letter to the staff at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital
I wish to thank the wonderful staff of Methodist Jennie Edmundson for the care they gave me during my recent stay. It was a very rough and agonizingly painful Thursday when I came into the E.R., but the nurses and techs that I first met on my arrival were amazing. I thank you for your quick diagnosis of my acute appendicitis and prompt surgery.
One more thank you to the male night shift ER nurse that came to check on me in my recovery room, so sorry I was out of it and forgot your name.
My ER experience was only surpassed by the top notch help in my recovery on the 4H wing of the fourth floor. The nurses, CNA's, housekeeping staff, teen volunteers and the whole crew were wonderful and I thank you from the bottom of my heart and in ways that words cannot describe. I want to give special shout outs to nurses Kyle and Joe, CNA Sheila and Dr. Patrick Ahrens.
My family has a long history with Jennie Edmundson. Our experiences have all been great. My mother passed away on the fourth floor in 2004 and I remember your empathy and compassion then, in our time of sorrow.
Thank you again! So very much! I will continue to entrust you in the care of myself, my family and my friends! You are a 5-star hospital because of the genuinely compassionate people you employ!
