Surviving Stroke

A Happy Ending for Storyteller Donnis Arens
Ten years ago, Donnis Arens suffered a devastating stroke. At 54, this vibrant Millard Public School teacher, storyteller and community volunteer was paralyzed on one side and struggling to speak.

Even when the stroke stole her voice and mobility, it never touched her spirit. Donnis is a woman who makes every day the best of times, eager to give to others and live life to the fullest.
