NICU Family Advisory Council
The NICU Family Advisory Council is small group of former patient families who meet with NICU leadership and staff on quarterly to review policies, provide feedback on current procedures, help plan NICU events and positively influence patient care. Another major focus of the council is to be a resource for families who need some guidance or reassurance through their NICU journey.
Each family’s story holds a unique set of circumstances and challenges, and whether they were with us for a few days, weeks or months, they were all significantly impacted by their baby’s (or babies’) stay in the NICU. By sharing their thoughts, fears and experiences, the hope is that the Family Advisory Council can help you find comfort and navigate your baby’s days in neonatal intensive care.
Ask your baby’s nurse or the attending RN if you feel connecting personally with one of these families would be of help to you.
