Stem Cell Transplants

Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center offers Stem Cell Transplant Services for the treatment of a variety of conditions including:

  • lymphomas
  • leukemias
  • multiple myeloma

Transplantation of blood-forming stem cells allows patients to get high doses of chemotherapy, radiation, or both. The high doses destroy both cancer cells and normal blood cells in the bone marrow. After the treatment, healthy, blood-forming stem cells are given to the patient. New blood cells develop from these transplanted stem cells.

An experienced team of dedicated stem cell transplant specialists will follow you during your journey through the phases of a transplant in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Accreditation

Accredited Stem Cell Transplant Program

The Stem Cell Transplant Program, directed by a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist, has been awarded accreditation by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT).  This reflects the program’s commitment to quality clinical care.
