Methodist Physicians Clinic HealthWest Welcomes Dermatologist Dr. Naridze

OMAHA – After interviewing with Methodist Health System, dermatologist Dr. Rachelle Naridze knew it was where she needed to be.

“I was so impressed with the staff, the other physicians and the administrative people I met,” she said. “I saw how much passion they all have for caring. They love what they do. They’re very collegial. They work together, and they’re at the top of their game. Those are the kind of people I want to surround myself with.”

The daughter of two public school teachers, Dr. Naridze learned the value of education at an early age. As a physician, she considers it an important part of her job.

“You’re constantly educating your patient, their family members or your community about health care issues,” she said. “And that’s something I’m really passionate about.”

An Iowa native, Dr. Naridze attended medical school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Following an internship at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, she completed her dermatology residency at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

“I did not go into school thinking I was going to be a dermatologist,” she said, but her journey has been more rewarding than she could have imagined.

She is inspired by the impact she’s able to have on her patients’ overall health and quality of life.

“I have the opportunity to treat something I can see on the skin as well as hopefully impact how they feel about themselves,” she said. “I get to empower them to have confidence in their own skin.”

Dr. Naridze’s approach to providing quality care starts with really listening to her patients.

“I’m never the first one to speak. I should be hearing what my patient says first, so that I can hear what their concerns are and what experiences they’re having with their skin.”

She also wants her patients to know she considers them family.

“I know that sounds cliché, but it’s true. I will treat you like you’re one of my family members. You will always receive compassionate care.”

Dr. Naridze is seeing patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic HealthWest (16120 West Dodge Road). Appointments can be made by calling (402) 354-0670.
