Men in Nursing

Methodist is proud to employ the highest percentage of male nurses in Nebraska, with turnover rates that are among the lowest in the state. We have dozens of male nurses in clinical leadership positions as Staff Preceptors and Charge Nurses. Our male nurses also participate on a number of committees throughout the health system, including Practice Council, Skin PI Committee, Fall PI Committee and the Leadership Committee.

“To strengthen the nursing profession, we need to break down gender-related biases and promote men in nursing. Male nurses can serve as preceptors, role models, and mentors for our future healthcare professionals as we continue to build a high-quality health care delivery system.”
