The Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Diabetes Management Center can provide patients with essential education and support to help manage diabetes and reduce the risk of complications.

Programs Offered

Other diabetes services are available by request. There is a fee for these programs. Please contact your insurance provider regarding coverage.

Diabetes Self-Management Education Program

Our certified diabetes educators, nurses and registered dietitians work with you, your loved ones and your physician using tools such as group and individual classes to create a medication, diet and lifestyle plan to help you manage your diabetes. Individual appointments also can be made with a diabetes nurse educator and/or dietitian to meet each patient's needs, including patients with disabilities or who do not speak English.

Diabetes Educational Program and Gestational Diabetes Program

This weekly individualized education program provides education and blood glucose monitoring with a certified diabetes educator, registered nurse, registered dietitian and other health care providers as needed.
